Blaufränkisch is an Austrian grape that does well in the Finger Lakes' cool climate, and Red Tail Ridge is one of its better proponents. The wine is peppery and dark-fruited, with cherry, black pepper and lively acidity. A food-friendly red worth trying if you like Cabernet Franc.
