Marcel Lapierre was a founding figure of natural wine in Beaujolais, and this is the family's straightforward regional red. The Gamay is pure and lively, with fresh red cherry, a little spice and a crunchy, low-tannin finish. It is very drinkable, and a good place to begin if you are new to the style.
