Mercurey is a village in the Côte Chalonnaise, south of the Côte d'Or, where good Burgundy is available at a more reasonable price. Louis Latour's version is a Pinot Noir with red cherry, strawberry, a touch of earth and soft, silky tannins. A thoughtful choice for a dinner party.
