Barbera d'Asti Superiore from La Spinetta, the Rivetti family's estate in Piedmont, with fruit from the Ca' di Pian vineyard. Barbera is all bright acidity and soft tannin, here with dark cherry, plum and a little spice, and more depth than the everyday bottlings. Pour it with tomato sauce, salumi or roast chicken.
