ICHIRO'S SINGLE MALT CHICHIBU 2023

Ichiro's Malt Chichibu 2023 is a limited-edition single malt Japanese whisky from the Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. This U.S.-exclusive release is crafted from heavily peated, 100% malted barley, fermented for 100 hours in Mizunara oak washbacks, and distilled twice in Forsyths copper pot stills. It is aged 4–7 years in a combination of cask types, including new Taransaud T5 French oak, Mizunara hogshead, sherry, and chibi daru. This non-chill filtered whisky offers aromas of orange peel, mint, loquat, and melon, leading to a rich, softly sweet palate with a nutty, herbal finish. The 2023 edition features a label depicting Commodore Matthew Perry enjoying Ichiro's Malt amidst cherry blossoms in Washington D.C., commemorating the 1909 gift of cherry trees from Japan.
