Baron Ermengaud Faugères Rouge 2019 is a distinguished red wine from the Faugères appellation in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. This blend consists of 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre, and 5% Carignan, sourced from vines aged between 15 to 45 years, rooted in schist soils. The wine exhibits a deep red color with black cherry hues and offers a complex bouquet of sun-kissed fruits and spices. On the palate, it delivers a powerful, full-bodied experience with intense ripe fruit flavors, complemented by velvety tannins and subtle peppery notes. This richness and depth suggest a considerable aging potential.

 Critically acclaimed, Wine Spectator awarded this vintage 96 points, highlighting its dark, reticent nature with flavors of dark currant, plum, and blackberry paste, alongside notes of sweet bay leaf, anise, and singed apple wood. The wine's serious grip through the finish indicates its suitability for cellaring.
