Col D'Orcia, the largest certified organic vineyard in Tuscany, has an extensive history of producing some of the best wines from the Montalcino region of Italy. The estate’s name translates to “the hill overlooking the Orcia River,” due to its position in between the undulating hills of the Orcia River and Sant’Angelo in Colle. Since 1973, the Cinzano family has owned this breathtaking estate and they championed this 2nd label to the famous Brunello di Montalcino, leading to the creation of the Rosso di Montalcino DOC in 1983. Perfect for everyday drinking, this is the wine that has the serious bang for the buck character; this is the wine you drink when your favorite Brunello wines are aging! The wine is dry, almost full-bodied, with great acidity, smooth tannins, and chock full of beautiful and juicy red fruit, cherries, plum, herbs, and a nice floral character.
