When it comes to great wine at a fair price from Napa or Sonoma, look no further than the wines of Buena Vista winery! This weekend we will have four wines open from this historic winery, and they will all be on sale at ridiculous prices. Our biggest bang for the buck will be our long-time staff favorite Chateau Buena Vista Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2016 vintage. This is liquid dynamite that, since its recent release in 2013, has garned numerous 90+ ratings from the top names in the industry; it outshines numerous Napa Cabernets that are double the price point. The grapes are picked from selected vineyards on the Napa Valley floor from Yountville to St. Helena. The wine is aged in about 35% new French oak barrels for 28 months and then bottled unfiltered. This is, without a doubt, one of the best full-bodied reds money can buy, especially from the Napa Valley. There's a stunning aromatic character here that immediately excites the senses and draws you in to enjoy. Generous red and dark fruit abound on the palate, including ripe red cherry, red plum, blackcurrants, and blackberry. The fine grain tannin and very long finish are impressive and the influence of the French oak is perfectly integrated. While drinking superbly right now, it has a lot of life ahead and can be cellared for another ten years without a problem.

2017 Chateau Buena Vista Carneros Chardonnay, 750ml

The grapes for this wine were harvested at the optimum level of ripeness and maturity of flavors, whole-cluster pressed, 100% barrel fermented, and completed malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French oak barrels (30% new) for 14 months. This is a lot of great Chardonnay for the money. The ripe expression of orchard and tropical fruit characters balanced with beautiful acidity and judicious oak treatment, which brings out a touch of vanilla, make this an extraordinary Chardonnay without the $40+ price tag you will find with many premium Carneros or Sonoma Chardonnays.

The legendary Count of Buena Vista Winery comes alive in one of our most plush and enticing red blends. This masterful field blend of mainly Syrah, Grenache, Zinfandel, and Merlot from select vineyards in Sonoma delivers sensual aromas of ripe blackberry, mocha, and sweet spice. You get a sense that this wine achieves the Count's philosophy of creating harmony and complexity with the  blending of numerous grape varietals, as opposed to just one varietal.
